1.  Meeting Administration
     Agenda approved. Announcements ?
2.  Public Comment
     There were comments?
3. Bay Trail Extension Update
Heath announces that design work is 60% done on the Bay Trail. Heath has a diagram and 2 page notice.
The trail will run in front on the East  North side of the Sea Breeze Market. Dave and Heath agree that is a tight area for a path in front.
4.  Funding:
ACTIA/ACCMA Coordinated Call for projects will come due 2.2.07
Heath sets forth ideas for projects to fund. These are:
Discussion of funding sources. Heath is frustrated because not even the restriping of the Bike Boulevards or Bike Routes got done over the summer.
Measure B includes 1/4 mile around a transit station: So the Amtrack Station and the 3 Bart Stations. Ashby, Ed Roberts might tie in.
Dave points out that the project does not have to be on a major bike route. It can be near a transit center.
BTA could fund the Delaware St. to the Ohlone pass-through. That could be a local project that the Engineers want to finish.
Phil asks about the traffic on Delaware. There are "double-ladder" (?) crosswalks. No arrows. Reflectors, bots dots. The model high-visibility markers for this street. that is due December 1, 2006. Oakland is doing the bike lanes on Telegraph, from Market  to Adeline, jog at 62d to Market. to King, because of the light on Ashby at King. Discussion about the intersection from California, the bike route, to Market and how to get around Stanford Avenue.
Safe Routes to Schools. Tasha Tervelon could apply for a grant for encouragement and education: John Selawsky, Mark Copeland and Marcy, Wendy,  Phil Morton were at the meeting. If Tasha can fund her education projects she is already doing, that would be a good project for SR2S. Cycles of Change does education. They could be funded for the education that they do. Bike maintenance, riding instruction. They spend a lot more time in the field than they do with their class time. It requires someone from the School District to write the grant Cal Trans wants to see a partnership between the city and the Health and Human Services. Dave says keep working with Tasha; she would be a natural to get funded for that.
Heath is still doing the 9th Street and the Ped Plan. Heath says there is no time to write a grant, and if they got it, his time would not be scheduled to implement it.
5. Residential Bike Parking Requirements
Item from 2 meeting which  gets deferred to future meetings. Dave says it requires a city council decision.
6. Regional Bike Route  signage.
Conference Heath went to in Madison WI in September. Signage examples.
7. Chicago-Style  Bike Route Signage
Discussion of signage and appropriate colors and signs for the cities of Berkeley and Chicago. Heath likes the State Regulation Signs. He likes some of the Chicago signs. The roadway may have bike route signage, sharrows,  Destinations are helpful. A planning grant to do sharrows and signage would be great. Costs about $50 thousand dollars. Dave says that would be super high priority to work on this after the Ped plan, 9th Street and the APC.
8. Adjournment  5:45pm
