LAB Road 1 / Street Skills Class
Street Skills is a bicycle safety class for experienced and beginning cyclists, for bike commuters, for parents who bike with their kids, and for any cyclist who just wants to get around town safely. You'll enjoy cycling more when you are comfortable riding in traffic.
Sharing the road is tough.
Negotiating left turns can be difficult.
High-speed arterials are a major obstacle.
Visibility at night is low.
Motorists are in a hurry.
We tackle these and many other challenges in this educational, hands-on-bike class taught by League of American Bicyclists certified instructors Shane Rhodes (LCI #1050) and Mike Cobb (LCI #1045). The class uses LAB Road 1 curriculum developed by John Ciccarelli of Transight LLC of Palo Alto. The class includes a 3½-hour evening classroom session and an all-day, 6½-hour on- and off-bike practical skills session. Register now!
