Telegraph Ave Bike Lanes
Telegraph Avenue is arguably the most important bicycle route in the East Bay, connecting downtown Oakland to UC Berkeley and downtown Berkeley in one straight shot. It also has many businesses along it and much new housing proposed, all of which require good, safe bicycle access. It needs bicycle lanes, but they are far from a done deal. The opposition is strong, organized, and influential.
Your letter of support for bike lanes on Telegraph is needed!! And your attendance at an upcoming public workshop is needed.
Public Workshop: December 4, 7-9pm, Faith United Presbyterian Church, 430 49th St. (at Webster), in Oakland.
Workshop Agenda: Brief History and Background; Study Process; Existing Conditions Report; Public Feedback. Light refreshments will be provided. The meeting flyer is available online via the City of Oakland bicycle page, or you can go directly to its PDF flyer.
