The most important thing to increase safety for cyclists is to educate drivers. Once potential drivers get a good view about life on the saddle many will become more respectful. People who grow up outside the U.S. are often surprised to learn that schools teach Driver Ed. So that's a natural place to teach a course developed by The League of American Bicyclists called Road 1.
